Hi Pirox and thanks for your bug report!

Please try to locate our log files and send them to bugs at mmix dot me!

The files should be in in C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\CubeData, depending on OS. The files are

Code: Select all

CEGUI.log
cube.db
Cube.log
Ogre.log

Thanks!

Got the files, thanks!

Unfortunately it isn't apparent why it crashes.

How far do you get?
Do you set any Media Paths and start the library scan, or do you not get ANY proper graphics visible at all?

Neither. Just black rectangle in the top left corner of the screen right after start.

Maybe this COPlayer.dmp can helps you. (53 MB)

Hi Pirox,

Seems I need more time to debug this...

In the mean time, can you see which file is causing the problem? One guess is that some of your files are missing or corrupt (maybe you installed without Admin rights?).
With the SysInternals tools suite you can see for example which files are being accessed by COPlayer.exe.

From the logs you sent me, I can see you were missing CEGUI.log, which indicates that MMiX.Me hasn't even initialized CEGUI, which in turn indicates that it could be having trouble parsing the CEGUI files (in C:\<ProgramFiles>\MMiX.Me\Media). Maybe something is missing in your install.

You seem to be running Windows 7 SP1 which is fine.

I have attached txt-file which show all files in c:\Program files(x86)\MMiX.me\

In addition, ProcessMonitor shows, that COPlayer try to locate c:\Program files(x86)\MMiX.me\plugins and c:\Program files(x86)\MMiX.me\bin\gears.dll
Dependency Walker shows that COplayer.exe by itself hasn't links to such files, so probably awesomium or something else just trying to locate extensions.
Can it be the reason of the crash?

What is the ploblem of debug? Is it COPlayer.dmp corruped?
Do you have COPlayer.pdb?

Looks like you have all necessary files, and the dmp file is ok, but the symbols are missing
I will regenerate the symbols for that version and continue work on your dmp file.

You are correct about Awesomium. It looks for plugins and gears.dll. They aren't needed, and are not the cause of the crash.

Ok, I'll try to get the right symbols ;)

Hi, a little update!

I've been working quite a bit on version 0.2.2 (aka The Skinnable Version ;) ) so I suggest we have another go on that version when it's ready! That should be before the end of August.

See you then!
